The Haptic House

The Urban Environment is a felt experience. From the sensations of the skin through to the empathic feelings of the tugged emotions.

Even the visual experience, so crucial to the modern urban experience, is itself constructed from the subtle kinaesthetic integration of light and balance enabling us to form pictures and perspective.

However the sensory morass of the modern City often has a disorientating effect on the clarity of perspective and opportunism required by the Urban Shanty Builder.

The Haptic House is a meditative space, where the Urban Shanty Builder can re-connect her/his body with the energies of the urban environment

The vibration absorbing devices which adorn the roof collect and collate the urban vibrations channelling them into the reclining body.
