On Saturday 23rd June my collagraph plate was almost finished so I set to work inking it up to print. I wanted it in full colour so I carefully rubbed different coloured inks into the plate before running it through the etching press with a piece of paper on the top.

One of the most interesting things about creating a print is that you never really know what it’s going to look like until you’ve inked it up and run it through the press…so it’s always exciting to run off the first print.

I was really pleased with the results, and particularly like the sea!
