The Technique

Following the study of natural building concepts and many research trips to Africa, Europe, North America, Wojciech Brzeski, Polish architect developed a modern technique based on the old tradition of building houses out of non-fired clay bricks. By combining the right proportions of clay and straw he has developed ‘light clay’. The key element of this technique is the innovative construction system, designed specifically to use bricks made of ‘light clay’.

The simplicity of this building system allows people to build houses easily and safely. The system is easy enough to be learned during workshops and allows future inhabitants to build their houses themselves. The concept of the construction and technique is protected by patent (The Patent Department, Republic of Poland nr. 328297 / 1998).

A lesser known or publicised problem is the catastrophic impact of currently used build technologies on the health of inhabitants. The influence of current trends: the way buildings are localised, their shape and type of building technologies used all affect the health of their inhabitants. Unfortunately this tends to be ignored.
